💛From Confused to Confident: My Journey as a Special Needs Mama & Functional Lab Analyst

While the world is busy touching the edge of outer space in 2025, here in zip code 97132… there's not even one ABA provider in our area.

I’ve driven countless miles just to get my son to therapies. I’ve sat in waiting rooms for hours, only to be told we’d have to wait months to see a specialist. And when we did finally see one, I had to battle with insurance policies that changed overnight and left us buried in unpaid bills.

Two years in, and we still haven’t been approved for our state insurance. The private plan? It dropped coverage mid-treatment, leaving us scrambling to pay out-of-pocket for vital care.

💔 The emotional toll.
💸 The financial weight.
🕓 The late-night research.
🙏 The prayers whispered in the dark.

It would’ve been easy to feel defeated. But I refused to give up on him.

When the System Fails You, You Find Another Way

I was tired of the guessing game. Tired of being handed labels, prescriptions, and a shrug.

So, I did what most people wouldn’t—I went back to school. Between naps and meltdowns, I studied late into the night. I became a Registered ABA Therapist, then a Certified Functional Lab Analyst. I devoured everything I could about gut health, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, toxins, and how all of it connects to the behaviors we often misunderstand.

I became my son's advocate-both emotionally and biologically.

Turning Pain Into Purpose

Today, I help other parents like me. Parents who are tired of the dead ends. Who are ready to ask why their child is struggling instead of what label to give it. I use functional lab testing to uncover the root causes of imbalances—because every behavior has a story.

But I’m not just a practitioner.
I’m a mama.
A fighter.
And someone who knows what it feels like to walk through fire and still choose hope.

💛If you’re reading this and feeling overwhelmed, I want you to know: you’re not alone. You don’t have to settle for broken systems or waitlists that never move. There is another way. You can become the expert on your child—and you don’t have to do it alone.

Let’s walk this journey together—from confused to confident.
